Welcome to Farmers Market Week! This is the week we celebrate all things found at the Farmers Market. There are over fifteen bloggers sharing over 50 recipes this week. From drinks and desserts to entrees and sides, there’s something for everyone this week.
Everyone around this area (eastern Missouri) knows that it's Peach Season when the Calhoun County peaches hit the market. I've talked about it before here and here. We think Calhoun Peaches rival those from Georgia! To celebrate Peach Season here, I am making a delicious Peach Margarita for you to enjoy. If you like fruity margaritas, this is one you won't soon forget.
The best part is that the riper the peach the better, so if you have a few peaches that are overripe but not too far gone, this is a good way to use them up. Cut away any bruised fruit, as it will look brown and unappetizing in the drink. A special trick: for a little "extra" sprinkle your drink with Tajin before serving! Tajin is a chili/lime seasoning made in Mexico and it is so delicious!
