Easter Morning Breakfast: Baked Oatmeal with Burnt Sugar Topping #TasteCreations

In April the Taste Creation bloggers are making Easter Morning Breakfast for you!  We have a wonderful variety of dishes that you will want to serve up to your guests on Easter.  I made Baked Oatmeal with Burnt Sugar Topping (think creme brulee!) that is so delicious and wonderful with that brittle, crunchy, sugary topping.

Baked Oatmeal is a wonderful breakfast that is good for you.  To make it a bit more special, we've added a delicious crunchy topping made of turbinado sugar torched into a burnt, sweet topping.  Garnish with a few edible flowers for a spring-like touch or some favorite fruits.  Either way, it is a delicious addition to the recipe.

I have seen many recipes for Baked Oatmeal with a crunch topping made with brown sugar.  However, I wanted a more authentic taste so we used turbinado sugar which is the preference of most chefs who make creme brulee.  The link will take you to Amazon where you can find this special sugar.  I am an affiliate with Amazon, so if you purchase through this link or any others, I will make a commission.
