This month our #WinePW (Pairing Weekend) group is sharing Bubbles from Around the World and I am going to share with you some of my favorites, and the foods I love to pair them with. This information is especially helpful with the upcoming celebration of Valentine's Day or Sweethearts Day, whichever you like to celebrate!
My first choice is this beautiful Cremant de Bordeaux from France. It is a gorgeous pink and the bubbles are creamy and plentiful. My pairing choice is a Baked Brie cheese dish that is wonderful and warm. The two together are a powerful romantic dish!
\My next suggestion is the Azimut Cava from Spain. This is one of my all-time favorite bubbles. The price point is affordable and it is delicious with nearly any dish. I love pairing it with Chicken Empanadas. The spicy chicken with the smooth Cava is made in heaven.
I think you'd also love this spumante sparkling Rosato called Foss Marai Roos Brut Vino Spumante Rosato from Italy. It is also a really lovely pink color, with a few bubbles, but not overwhelming. I paired them with a chicken flatbread, which is fun to do and a great dish to make together! I used the leftover spumante to make a spumante float!
And the last one I want to share is another dessert for you, a sparkling wine cocktail I call Skinny Pom. That's because I made my own sorbet using a keto-approved sweetener. It's a delicious dessert, especially when it is made with the California wine Menage a Trois sparkling wine blend. So pretty, so good, and a great way to end a romantic evening. No special "pairing" as I added the sorbet to the sparkling wine!
I hope you find some fun ways to incorporate bubbles into your upcoming holiday, or for any special occasion, you may have! To learn more about bubbles from around the world, please visit my colleagues below.

ReplyDeleteI personally don’t drink any alcohol any longer thanks to medication side effects. But when I drank I like a sweet wine. Dry wine was gross in my opinion.
