Tutti Frutti Strawberry Smoothie Bowl #PinterestChallenge

For the July Pinterest Challenge, we were given the assignment of Tutti Frutti. Does  that make you sit up and sing

Wop bop a loo bop a lop bom bom
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
Tutti frutti, oh rootie
Tutti frutti, oh rootie

It's such a summer song!  Thank you, Little Richard!

Back to the challenge, each month we are so happy to be hosted by Alexandra, the creator behind EyeLoveKnots, where she shares her own crochet designs, plastic canvas projects, and other yarn-related crafts, and On Rockwood Lane, where she shares everything else! If you don't find yarn and a coffee mug in her hands, you might find her baking in the kitchen, tending to her garden, re-decorating for a new season or holiday, or cuddling with her two cats.  Last month I posted about this cute handpainted rock Tic Tac Toe game that was very popular!

Here are the participants in this month's challenge:

This month, to follow the theme, I made a Tutti Frutti Smoothie Bowl.  So what is a smoothie bowl?  It is like a smoothie, made in a blender, but it is thicker and more like an ice cream.  It's a much healthier option, one I think you will enjoy all summer long.

Tutti Frutti Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

Mix it up and make it with whatever fruit you have on hand!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (I don't slice them or cut them up)
  • 2 cups ice
  • splash of heavy cream
  • 1 Tablespoon of sugar free vanilla pudding mix
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • frozen fruit for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients except the frozen fruit you are using for garnish.  Blend until mixture is thick and creamy.  Scoop into a bowl and garnish with frozen fruit.

Notes:

Eat immediately! This will begin melting quickly. Don't eat too fast, though. Brain freeze!
