Sweet Heat Margaritas

Celebrate National Margarita Day on February 22 with a Sweet Heat Margarita! The Margarita is a combination of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Created in 1938 in Mexico, it is considered the official drink of “it’s 5:00 somewhere!”

Frozen or on-the-rocks, you can’t go wrong with this delicious drink. There are hundreds of varieties of the Margarita and one of my favorites is this Sweet Heat Margarita.

The only hard and fast rule I have for my margaritas is to make them homemade. This delightful recipe of my husband makes four large ones. You can make them in advance and store them in the refrigerator
