Even though it is a bit contrived, I do love a good Valentine's Day celebration! Just call it the romantic in me! I like planning a nice dinner, a good movie, and a special gift. Not to be left out, though, is a nice cocktail to sip on while all the magic is happening!
I love wine and we always have a pretty well-stocked supply to choose from. I decided to make this cocktail to use what we have and to enjoy something we already love. It seems like a safe bet, but hey, let's make the evening go as smoothly as possible!
Since we always have wine, I made this little chart for you to use when determining what wine you may want to serve with dessert. I hope it helps you with your decision-making!
Here's how to make the Date Night Wine Cocktail. If your ingredients are chilled first, it keeps the cocktail cold!
Date Night Wine Cocktail for Two

- 8 oz chilled dry rose
- 4 oz chilled club soda
- 1/4 c sliced strawberries
- 1/2 c crushed ice
- 1 oz simple syrup, or more to taste
Instructions
- Place 1/2 of the strawberries in each of two glasses.
- Combine rose wine, simple syrup, and ice and stir gently.
- Divide by pouring into the two glasses.

- Garnish with strawberries.
