It's time for the January Pin Challenge! The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month's challenge is all about Valentine's Day Dessert Recipes. My recipe was inspired by this pin from Shugary Sweets. Doesn't it look delicious?
I decided to go a bit of a different route, and make it a lot easier to make. It takes just four ingredients to make this delicious recipe!
The secret is using pre-made frosting. This is what adds the flavor. Then mixing in white chocolate almond bark gives the fudge its body. I like it because while it is sweet, it is not overly rich, to my way of thinking!
To reduce clean-up, I microwave the icing in its container, then pour it into the melted almond bark. It only takes about 45 seconds to melt the icing, then a about 90 seconds for the almond bark. Combine the two and pour into a prepared loaf pan.
Chocolate Cherry Fudge
Ingredients
- 1 container of Cherry pre-made frosting
- 8 oz white almond bark
- 6 oz dark chocolate morsels
- 1 t vegetable oil
Instructions
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Open and remove the foil from the cherry frosting. Be sure all the foil is off the container.
- Microwave for one minute. Stir.
- In a separate container, melt the almond bark in 30 second increments until completely smooth.
- Pour cherry frosting into the bowl with the almond bark and stir until completely combined.
- Pour into prepared loaf pan. Refrigerate for one hour.
- Melt chocolate chips with the vegetable oil in 30 second increments until smooth. Stir to combine. Pour over the cherry fudge. Refrigerate until firm.
- Lift the candy from the loaf pan. Remove parchment. Cut into 1 inch squares.
