The Christmas Swap #ourgoodlifebooklist

Thank you Revell Reads and NetGalley for providing me a

copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I am a big fan of Christmas literature, so I am always super excited to be asked to review a Christmas book.  The Christmas Swap by Melody Carlson was a perfect Christmas read, not too deep and highly entertaining!

The story starts with Emma, a substitute teacher and part-time musician who is invited to spend Christmas with her best friend and family in Colorado.  This has a lot of appeal, as Emma resides in Arizona. Heading to snowy Breckenridge wasn't in her holiday plans, but it is a chance to have a beautiful white Christmas.

Enter West Prescott, a rather famous musician and songwriter.  The house in Colorado belongs to him and he has created this house swap for his family, thinking they would enjoy having a warm sunny Christmas.  West and Emma meet through a comedy of errors and false assumptions.

There are many twists and turns in the story, and the ending could have been much more detailed, but I loved the premise and the details of the Christmas decorations and traditions were what I want and expect from a book set at Christmas.
