It's time for the August Pin Challenge! The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month's challenge is all about (monthly theme) projects. The pin I chose was this adorable chandelier decoration that I first saw on Pinterest here.
This project requires just a few items: hot glue gun, 1 stick of glue for the glue gun, 1 package of autumn leaves from the Dollar Tree, and about 5' of fishing line for five strands. First I preheat my glue gun. Then I cut five pieces of fishing line, about 36" long. Next, I lay my leaves out in the pattern I want them in. Then I take one piece of the fishing line and with my hot glue gun put a dab of glue on the back of the leaf and press it to the line. I repeat this process until the entire line is done. Then I repeated the process on each of the remaining lines. After letting the strands cool for a bit, I used tiny clothespins to pin the lines onto my chandelier. That is it! Isn't it pretty? It makes me smile every time I look at it!
