Easy S'mores

If you are like me, it's not summer without a s'more, but sometimes I don't feel like making the fuss or the mess of a s'more. Plus, it is hard to keep graham crackers in my house!  Here is a s'more that's a little less messy and you can make it on your stove.

It's time for the June Pin Challenge! The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month's challenge is all about summer or July 4th projects. The pin I chose was S'mores in a Jar.

As always, I tweaked this recipe to make it my own.  The inspiration that I kept was the jar, glass dish idea. I was looking for a way to have a s'more without building a fire and with less mess.  I believe this delicious cereal-based version is it!

While I used Rice Chex for my cereal, the more obvious choice is a graham cracker based cereal like Gold Grahams. Aldi has a version of graham cracker based cereal that we love, that I would recommend, too.

Here are some other s'more recipes I have posted in the past:  National S'more Day, Ghostly S'mores and Caramel Dip, S'mores Cookies and Peeps S'mores.  Yes, I am a bit obsessed.  😁

Here is the recipe for making these delicious s'mores. Enjoy!

Golden Grahams cereal is the obvious choice, but we like the Rice Chex cereal.

  10. This looks like something we'd enjoy. I agree about using the graham cracker cereal, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at rice chex! hahaha

I'm really intrigued to try this with the cereal. S'mores are my favorite summer treat, but it does require a fire and getting bit my mosquitos (that's never fun). This I can have anytime.
