I haven't always liked slaw. The ones I had growing up were made with sweetened mayo and I just didn't like it. I didn't like the cabbage too much either. I started looking at slaw with different eyes the first time I had it on a BBQ pork sandwich. I haven't looked back!
You can use a pre-packaged slaw mix, but I suggest that you find the freshest cabbages you can and chop those up. The texture is different and makes a better slaw. If you like a little sweetness, try adding some chopped apple to the mix.
We love to be outside, but mosquitos love me. It is a miserable feeling to be the target of biting bugs. I was fortunate to learn about this great tool called The Bug Bite Thing. Bug Bite Thing is a suction tool that extracts insect saliva/venom from under the skin to help alleviate the itching, stinging, and swelling that occurs with bug bites and stings. When you remove the irritant, your body stops producing the reaction that is causing the uncomfortable symptoms. Unlike topical creams and ointments, the problem is eliminated, not masked. It is super effective and you never run out!
What you do is put that tube on the bug bite and pull up on those handles. The suction removes the venom/saliva from your skin. No chemicals, lotions, or going to the doc. It works on bee stings, too. You can purchase this here on Amazon. If you purchase it from me, I will get a commission on the sale! It is lightweight, reusable, and compact. Make your outdoor picnics enjoyable again!

This would be perfect on pulled pork sandwiches too and the fact that there is no mayo makes it very bbq friendly.
