First, prepare your garden spot. I always use a large flower pot. I clean up the pot, add new soil and some plant food. Next, cut the bottoms off the lettuces. Soak the bottoms in water overnight. Then plant the bottoms in the soil. I cover the tiny plants and water, but not too much!
In about 2 days you will see baby leaves. In about 12-18 days you will have lettuce you can harvest.
I will plant other lettuces by seed later in the spring.

This is such a nice idea and I never knew you could grow lettuce this way. I never grew vegetables but I might try this method this spring.
