My mom used to make it for me and my sister. She would set a clean bowl outside and let it catch the snow and when she had enough, she'd mix vanilla with milk and a little sugar and pour it over the snow. My sister and I would take turns stirring it. We got to put chocolate syrup and sprinkles on it. What a special treat!
As a grown-up, I miss those times. So, in a whim, I concocted this cocktail using the ingredients (plus one or two) so my husband and I could enjoy a simple, childhood pleasure.

Grown Up Snow Cream
Adult version of a snow day favorite!

ingredients:
- 3 oz vanilla vodka
- 6 oz whole milk
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 T simple syrup
- 2 c fresh snow
- 2 c ice
instructions:
How to cook Grown Up Snow Cream
- Fill shaker with ice.
- Add cream, vanilla, simple syrup and milk.
- Shake until shaker freezes.
- Fill glasses with fresh snow.
- Using the filter, pour mixture over the snow.
- Garnish with whipped cream, cherry and sprinkles.
