New flooring
Change the color scheme
Speaking of color scheme, changing this can be an effective way to improve your home. As with flooring, consider using the same shade throughout- something like a white, cream or very light grey. You can bring in color to each room using accessories such as curtains, rugs, and cushions if you want to- it looks more effective than using bold colors or patterns on walls. Clean, freshly painted neutral walls create the perfect blank canvas, it’s still possible to make it look very homely and personal with the decor and furniture but thanks to the walls it won’t look fussy or crowded.
Change the kitchen and/ or bathroom
The kitchen and bathroom are some of the most important rooms in the home, upgrading them isn’t just nice for you and your family but will add value if you come to sell later on too. They’re expensive upgrades to make but if you want to make a worthwhile change to your property then they’re smart choices.
Get an extension
Constantly find yourself running out of space? If it feels like you and your family are living on top of each other then why not consider an extension? If you love your home but need more room then a single or double story extension could make a world of difference.
Move house
If all else fails and your home simply doesn't suit you anymore, another option would be to move somewhere else! ‘We Buy Houses’ type of companies allow you to quickly sell your home hassle-free, so you can start the process of finding something else which is a better fit for you and your family.
