I am not a pecan pie fan at all but my husband is. His aunts and mother made the best pecan pies and he got it twice a year... and a mincemeat pie, but that is another story. I did enjoy making these brownies and got an inkling of why people love pecan pie. Brown sugar and butter, anyone?
Here is the recipe for this decadent dessert. I start with a brownie mix, but of course you can use your favorite brownie recipe if desired.

Pecan Pie Brownies
This rich dessert only requires a small piece to feel satisfied. All the flavors of pecan pie, plus a bit of chocolate.

ingredients:
- 1 brownie mix, prepared according to instructions
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c packed brown sugar
- 2 t vanilla
- salt
- 4 T butter, melted
- 3 c chopped pecans

How to cook Pecan Pie Brownies
- Preheat oven to 350.
- While brownies are still warm, make the mixture below.
- In a medium bowl, whisk syrup, sugar, vanilla, salt and melted butter.
- Add eggs and stir until completely combined.
- Add pecans and stir until coated.
- Pour mixture on top of brownies and spread across the top.
- Bake until pecan mixture is set, about 20 minutes.
- Brownies should cool completely before cutting.
