The Gryphon Heist by James R. Hannibal #ourgoodlifebooklist

James Hannibal has created an engaging journey that leaves the reader going back and forth as to the motives of the various charters in his latest novel The Gryphon Heist. Talia Lager, a rookie CIA officer, is tasked with what initially appears to be a mundane assignment which quickly turns into a variety of plot twist that keeps the reader guessing as to who can really be trusted. At the center is The Gryphon – a piece of technology that has the capacity to change the landscape of weapons of mass destruction.

The book keeps the suspense building so that the reader is completely drawn into the story and by page 100 there is no way that you will willingly put it down. The characters are believable with flaws that make them real. The descriptions didn't get bogged down in excessive wordiness offering just enough to keep the story moving. This is the first book in a series and I can say I'm looking forward to what is to come.

From Amazon's author page: As a former stealth pilot, James R. Hannibal is no stranger to secrets and adventure. He has been shot at, locked up with surface to air missiles, and chased down a winding German road by an armed terrorist. He is a two-time Silver Falchion award-winner for his Section 13 mysteries for kids and a Thriller Award nominee for his Nick Baron covert ops series for adults. His first Christian thriller, the Grypyhon Heist, releases Fall 2019 from Revell. James is a rare multi-sense synesthete, meaning all of his senses intersect. He sees and feels sounds and smells and hears flashes of light. If he tells you the chocolate cake you offered smells blue and sticky, take it as a compliment.

  6. This sounds like a great read. I love books like this because it's like reading an action movie. My husband introduced me to this genre with Tom Clancy's books, and I've been hooked ever since. I'll have to give this one a try.
