I love Christmas! Each year I am so excited to start my Christmas planning with Christmas in July. Here's what I do each July:
- Set my families Christmas Celebration dates
- Draw names.
- Make hotel arrangements, if needed.
- Think about my Christmas menu.
- Plan for the photo for our annual Christmas card.
That's it, but wow, does that little bit of planning come in handy! It sets up our family for success, even though some grumble that they don't want to think about Christmas this early. They all admit that we are a lot less stressed when we plan ahead!
As a Christmas lover, I also collect Christmas ideas all year long that I would love to do. I am going to share some of my current favorites with you! I'll start with a recipe, and then my top five fun things I will be doing this Christmas in July!
Yield: 4
Boozy Grapes
These are every bit as wonderful as my Boozy Cherries.
prep time: 5 Mcook time: 2 hourtotal time: 2 H & 5 M
ingredients:
- 1 lb green grapes
- Small individual-sized prosecco, chilled
- 2 oz vodka
- 1/4 c sugar
instructions:
How to cook Boozy Grapes
- Poke grapes once with a fork. In a medium bowl, add grapes, prosecco and vodka. Let infuse for 2 hours. Drain the grapes and pat dry, gently. Pour sugar in a small bowl and toss in grapes. Roll in sugar until coated. Serve. These are so good.
