As a kid, I loved getting lemon drop candy from the grocery store. They were sold in a bag and I loved dissolving the sugar coating on my tongue before getting to the hard, tart candy. When I thought about how I wanted to present this classic cocktail, I thought about my childhood delight in lemon drops!
The Lemon Drop Martini has the distinction of being my very first cocktail, too! Since it was created in the 1970s, people contribute the creation of the Lemon Drop to be the inspiration for all the fancy cocktails that have come since. Delicious trend!
