Shannon sponsors different classes throughout our community of Saint Louis. She is an expert in the field and it is hard to get into her courses. I happened to get into this delightful card making class where I got to work with several kinds of stamps.
We made three cards, one Mother's Day, one birthday and one "for my friend" card. They turned out so cute! I'm not going to show you my Mother's Day card as my mom reads my blog and I don't want her to see her card here! I will share the others!
This birthday card uses the Dahlia stamp from Unity Stamps. Can you tell what the background is? That's right, a sheet of the small label stickers! Clever, huh? The Happy Birthday stamp is from Stampin' Up.
The For My Friend card uses the hydrangea stamp from the Lovely Blooms set from Newton's Nook Designs. It includes that darling Mason jar (that's stamped on vellum!) I got to use a watercolor technique on the stamp which is basically using a marker and then going over it with water. I love that look.
We met at a shop in Old Town in Saint Charles. Many of these shops were former homes and have these darling attic rooms. It was a great place to meet and we got to shop there afterward.

Bring on the Crafts — A Craft & DIY Blog Hop
On the first Friday through Sunday of each month, a group of DIY and crafty bloggers join forces. Together with hosts Marie from The Inspiration Vault and Habiba from Craftify My Love, they bring you the #BringontheCrafts blog hop. Each blogger creates a fun craft or DIY project to share that follows a monthly materials theme. May's theme is Stamps! Each blogger chooses their own craft to make as long as they love it and it uses Stamps in the project.

ReplyDeleteI love how these two cards turned out and I bet your Mom will just love her Mother's Day card! The background using stickers is genious, really, and I love this kind of creativity in my crafts, too. Pinning it to my card-making board on Pinterest, my dear.
