I am a regular user of essential oils. I use both Young Living and DoTerra, as I like qualities of each and I have great neighbors who sell them. I typically diffuse lavender at night to help me sleep. At first it was a miracle: lavender oil diffused near my pillow had me to sleep within 15 minutes of going to bed. As I used it longer and longer, I noticed the effects lessening. I read here that when you want to utilize the impact of essential oil therapeutic benefits, it is best to put them in a blend. The Farm Life blog has some wonderful information on her post. The impact is that the oils blend and produce a more powerful, synergetic effect. Some like to make these and roll them on the body. I prefer to diffuse.
I tried several blends, some that worked pretty well and some that failed. I truly believe that you will have to do the same if you want to find the one that works for you. I consider this challenge a success as I did find blends that worked for me, such as:
I noticed that others had named their blends, so I did, too! I noticed that certain oils were used in a lot of recipes, so I just started making my own blends. These four are the ones that worked best. If you have an essential oil sleep blend, I would love to hear more about it!
