I was given this product for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Mother's Day is around the corner, and what I am about to share with you would make the PERFECT gift for Mother's Day. Why would this be the PERFECT gift? Let me tell you about Prim Goods.
Primrose Hill is a residential recovery center for women and women with young children who have drug and alcohol addictions. This is one of the few facilities where children can stay with their mother during recovery. All this, and it is located here in Missouri.
Primrose is a Missouri wildflower that flowers early in the spring. It is an appropriate name choice for a place where women are moving into a new season full of hope!
While the women are going through treatment, each of them work in the beauty business by creating lovely soaps, lotions, scrubs and balms. Each resident participates by handcrafting the various products offered on their website. This work helps support Primrose Hill and provides a larger ministry of self worth and belonging for the women who live there.
I was given a Beauty Bundle (valued at $38) to review. On the label of each product is the signature of one of the women who made the product. That personal touch brings the message home that is on each bottle: Made Better By Our Story. Each woman's story is highlighted on their website. It is a touching tribute for the work that is done there.
I was given a Hand and Body Soap in Honeybunch, a Hand and Body Lotion in Restore, a bar soap in Sweet Dreams, a scrub in Freedom and a lip balm.
First the scents. Restore is the lightest smelling fragrance. It is more neutral but very pleasant. Sweet Dreams is sweet and lightly floral. Freedom has more of a musky tone and Honeybunch is sweet and soft. I like Sweet Dreams the best. For those of you who like fragrance free items, that is an option for all products.
The products are good, the scrub is nice and exfoliating with all natural ingredients. The soap and lotion work effectively and are in good sized, matching containers (8 oz). My favorite is the bar soap. With flecks of color and scented throughout the bar, a rough edge on the top and paper wrapped label, it feels a bit more high end than the others. The balm is super silky on my lips.
When I was using this product, I kept thinking that this product is more than the product itself, its an opportunity for a life gift to a mom and her children!
