Fashion Friday

I cannot begin to tell you how glamorous I felt in these white go go boots we wore when I was in 8th grade. What is it about white boots that make everyone go gaga? Do you remember the song "These Boots were Made for Walking?" I remember that Nancy Sinatra had a picture on her record of herself in white go go boots. Made all the boys crazy.

    When my daughter was around 2 we bought her a pair of those white boots ... well - she would NOT take them off, I mean really would NOT. She wore them for weeks and weeks ... the only time they came off was for nightly baths, then back on to sleep in. After way too long, her father and I noticed a really horrific odor coming from them and began to worry about infection, etc. One night as she was sleeping we actually cut them off and told her the 'boot fairy' had come to collect them. We made sure she had a 'treat' for compensation! She will turn 43 next month and this is one of my favorite memories!

    You were adorable in yours .. and I'm certain you didn't sleep in them!

    No wonder you felt so fine...you look great! I never did have a pair of white boots, but I did have a fine pair of black ones that zipped up on the inner side. Have a great weekend!

    You were (and still are!!!) a knock out!!! OMG!!! Is that a baton I see you clutching? I never had swell boots like those, but I had a baton!!! :) I was a "self taught" twirler and I pretty much stunk!!! :) Yes, I recall Nancy singing that song....it was sooooooo HOT!!!

    How cool that you put the From Couch to 5K app on your phone/iPod......it's truly been an inspiration for me. You can also get on their FaceBook page and find tons of great articles about fitness. I have learned so much through their info!!

    You're one of my all time inspirations....I hope you know that!!

    Love the picture of you in go-go boots!!!! What a blast from the past! I never had a go-go boots, but I had a go-go bag! It was lime green. Loved that thing. :-) Fun memories.
