Memorial Day 2010
Our second annual burger cook-off took place today at our house! Each of submitted a recipe of a burger. Next we (Bob) grilled them and added our toppings. We divided each burger into fourths and tried each one. We voted... and the winner was Bob's Grecian burger, with Eric's Philly burger a close second. Recipes can be found at Steffes Family Recipes.
Ashley and Bob are heading to St. Louis this afternoon. She has an appointment at Barnes on Tuesday for some procedures and then again on Wednesday for a consultation with a surgeon. We are praying for an answer to her situation!

Sounds like you had a wonderful day, Terri.
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping Ashley in my thoughts and prayers.
I remember you do this last year, I think it's such a great idea. I'm going to check out the recipes. I'm happy you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like such fun and what a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day and I hope all is well with your daughter.

Oh yum. A hamburger sounds so good. These darned soy burgers just don't even begin to compete with the real thing! Prayers continue for Ashley.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to spend the day with family!! I will have to go look at all the recipes.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you get good news for Ashley in St Louis.
Both burgers sound like winners to me!
ReplyDeletePraying for Ashley. And you.

Wait a minute, are you telling me that you gals lost the contest? That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteAdding my prayers for answers for Ashley. This morning, oddly enough, my first prayer was for Ashley so I guess now that I know why. I know that the Steffes always look up so I know that Ashley is well-covered with prayer and love. I'll be checking back in sooner than I did last time!
ReplyDeleteI am saying a prayer.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your postcard arrived. :)
What a fun idea to have a contest. I'll have to remember that one.
ReplyDeleteHope all went well with Ashley today. I know this has to be hard on all of you.
