Junk in my Trunk
I was watching tv last night, American Idol if you must know, and Monica came on (the stand up comedian) who was showing off her new body which is a size 16. She was so excited about it! It was fun to see a woman who didn't have to be a size 0 to be happy.
Truly, I thought of the phrase "junk in my trunk" and realized that I have two good boxes that I got from school in the back of my car. They have been there for two weeks. What's up with that? Does anyone else use their car as storage?
I hereby make a promise to get the boxes out of my trunk TONIGHT.

LOL, I hope you get your "junk in your trunk" out.
ReplyDeleteYour title made me laugh! Yesterday, I went to the grocery store with my husband. When we were about to put our stuff in the trunk I noticed all these socks (dirty of course) of my kids. I asked him why they were there. He said that he had to give someone a ride and he cleaned out his car and they were there! And to top that, I had a bag I was taking to a Goodwill-type place...it was in the car for about 3 months and about 2 weeks ago I finally donated! Have a happy day! Joni
ReplyDeletewell, yes, yes i do...
ReplyDeleteof course, i have truck..lol
so delighted to hear from you and see you!!!
HUGS today :)
Cute post, Terri!
ReplyDeleteMy husband. My husband used the old car as storage. The things he pulled out of that trunk the day he bought the new car...I shudder to remember it!
ReplyDeleteI must tell you (though she would want to strangle me) my sister could LIVE from her car trunk! When I visit her (in St. Louis) I try to help clean it out .... but when I return, it's the same or worse. We laugh about it.
ReplyDeleteMy Hubby is a neat freak and a bit anal retentive so I must say there is no junk allowed in my trunk !...plus I don't have a trunk on my Jeep. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Robin
Your post is too funny. I drive a mini-van, so I don't have a trunk per se, but the whole thing gets full of junk!
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I'm an American Idol fan also and yes, I use my car to store stuff. Especially with packing up in preparation to move, I'm either hauling empty boxes in or taking ones full of donations to Goodwill and I procrastinate!
ReplyDeleteI just like the saying "junk in the trunk". It sounds like a Dr. Seuss book.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! Yes, I often have "junk in my trunk". I tutor young children and it seems my trunk is my "office"/ "storage closet".
ReplyDeleteToday was the last day of our homeschool co-op. Now I get to empty it of the various materials, folders and other "stuff" that lived there over the past 10 weeks.
ReplyDeleteLaughing at your post.
And I realized that I totally forgot about AI this week. Good grief!!! That tells you something about the busyness happening here.

That's funny! We talk about junk in the trunk sometimes too!
ReplyDeleteYour title cracked me up. My trunk is pretty much clear, but my daughters? Good grief, you'd think she was homeless. She even has a filing box in it full of sheet music. And an old horn that she needs to drop off to be repaired so we can donate it. And clothes?? Why? Anyway, you get the idea :) Kathy (oh yeah, a volleyball in case she finds a pick up game somewhere)
ReplyDeleteYes, I always seem to have junk in my trunk and I drive a Mustang and they have very small trunks. God never intended for anyone with a Mustang to go grocery shopping. I really need to free up some space.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see your smiling face!
I was excited when I saw this link was you!
I think a better question for me to answer would be when DON'T I have junk in my trunk.
Thanks for this wonderful surprise on Alphabe-Thursday!
I am just grinning away!
Happy J day!
A+++++++++++++
LOL! No, I never have used my car as storage, but what a great idea!!! The next time company is coming and I need to do a fast clean up and stash my craft project that is all over the dining room table, I"ll just throw it in the back of the van! :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL - i have a van so no trunk to put junk :D
ReplyDeleteLOL ... you should see the stuff i just hauled outta my trunk a couple of days ago ... :)
ReplyDeletemy trunk is clean I gotta say but my mom was notorious for junk in her trunk.....
ReplyDeleteYes! Usually,I leave stuff in the trunk until the "coast is clear" (hubby goes to work, or to bed), then I bring it in and stash it!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it much before. I don't have a trunk to junk up, but I am ashamed to admit where the junk is piling up. Fun post.
ReplyDeleteA Dr. Seuss you are! I truly thought I might read a few more lines. I suggest you give it a try. Who would think of 'junk in my trunk' except Dr. Seuss-clever minds.
ReplyDeleteand...what if you don't have a trunk?
