Foodie Friday-Panzanella
Summer is such a great time to cook! Anyone can be a good cook when so much fresh produce abounds!
One of the best things to make is Panzanella. It is a bread and tomato salad doing what great cooks do... using garden fresh produce and leftovers. Fresh basil from the herb garden and ripe cherry tomatoes from the vegetable garden. Life is good.
You can find the full recipe here Panzanella Salad.

Looks and sounds delicious Terri. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteAre you deliberating trying to sabotage my weight battle? Everytime I come here, I see more food. (You'll notice that hasn't kept me from coming back, though, right? lol)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious and, actually, pretty okay health-wise, too. Can't ask for more than that!
Love your new comment layout! :)

Terri, I just might try this the weekend. We are having some very cool weather here it doesn't even feel like summer right now but heck that salad would make anything feel better.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend.
I hope your conference at The Lake went well--what a great place to have it.
ReplyDeleteThis recipe looks wonderful and I can guarantee you I will fix it!
I know you had a ball on the girls trip to Memphis...I will have to come back and read all about it. I'm so far behind visiting my favorite blogs because of the birth, then hospitalization of our little Grand Boy. However, he seems to be doing well at home. I thank you so much for your kind comments and prayers for him and our family during this last week. I know they helped.
Happy Summer!! Dana
Well it looks delish and good way to use up bread!

ReplyDeleteThis looks so fresh and scrumptious!!!!
I was looking at basil in the store yesterday and wishing I had my own plants.
Maybe next year.

Looks delicious and healthful!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your time at the lake. Hope that you enjoyed a very good one despite giving up a week of your July vacation. Were you able to trade for a week in September? ;>
Baseball...well I love the Red Sox, but I am not much for the local games. I remember the summer that my son's team nearly wound up in the playoffs. I've never prayed so much in my life since I did not want to forfeit what little was left of summer.
Now family games at picnics and such are great. And we still have my great-grandmother's picture hitting a ball to left field...she was 84. Ha!
Have another great week!
its so great that we have been friends for this long. we are lucky to all have eachother.
ReplyDeleteTerri, this looks toooooo darned good!
