Tablescape Thursday and Cindy's Centerpiece Party!
I am participating in Tablescape Thursday courtesy of Susan from Between Naps on the Porch. Go check out her blog for tons of beautiful tablescapes today! Also, I hope this works well for Cindy's Centerpiece Party, too!
I am playing with tablescapes for Valentine's Day. I really enjoyed putting together this one. I love how things mix and match. It really does create an interesting table when you choose varying patterns and colors.
The crocheted piece was made by my mother in law, Irene. She can make anything with a crochet hook. I have several pieces and you will be seeing them in the future!
The plates are chef grade plain white dishes from Pier One. The red salad plates are also from Pier One. The floral plates are from Corelle. I love this simple little plates. The heart dishes are Le Creuset.
I have a collection of bells that got started at our wedding. Someone gave us a lovely deep blue crystal dinner bell and when people saw that, they assumed I collected bells. So for the past 30+ years, I find myself getting a bell from time to time. I have never had much use for them but I find they are coming in quite handy for TableScape Tuesday! This is a Lenox bell.

ReplyDeleteOh how funny! I completely agree though. I don't like for people to buy pieces for my collections. I buy things because they "speak" to me...how's anyone else going to know if they do or not?
Charming table Terri! Love that crocheted piece by your mom & I love the bell. It's beautiful!
Ohhhhh! Love your heart dishes!!!!! And the red crystal bell! Beautiful arrangement!
ReplyDeleteMonica.
I think the bell is very pretty and unexpected. That's what makes it so charming!
ReplyDeleteLovely tablescape, and I love that bell! How funny that people thought you collected bells because of one gift! You are a reluctant bell collector, just as I am a reluctant flamingo collector. It started out as one joke, but now everybody thinks they are so witty if they give me another flamingo! I'd much rather be a reluctant bell collector! laurie
ReplyDeleteI love your heart shape dishes by Le Creuset, and the plates with the little flowere. It look so~~~ pretty together.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I would ring and ring that bell and nothing would happen but the dog would bark:) My friend is in Turkey and they are required to have a maid- it is a law by the Turkey officials- would that not be wonderful! They are also required to take two vacations outside of Turkey each year, paid for by the company.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling tablescape! Thanks for sharing! Happy Belated Valentine's Day to you! :)
