Happy Valentine's Day!
Here are Mr. and Mrs. Bob Steffes on our wedding day! Bob proposed on Valentine's Day in 1977 so this day does have special meaning for us!
I love this wedding photo of my mom and dad. It is hand tinted, which was quite the thing in the mid 50s. My dad was in the army but refused to wear his dress uniform. My mom is wearing her senior prom gown (which was white) with a new white jacket on top. All the flowers were from my Grandmother Holt's garden.

I love your wedding photo, Terri and the one of your parents. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe flower in my "Valentine", is a Mandevilla Vine, growing on the grounds of the Capitol building in JC. I took the photo last summer.
Happy Valentines Day!
I love both of those pictures. I had no idea they hand tinted pictures. No wonder they look so different. Older pictures like that make me happy. Everything seems so innocent and fresh!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see the wedding photos! Thank you for sharing them with us.

ReplyDeleteHi Terri,
ReplyDeleteI had that same hat in the mid 70's, so cute. Love the wedding photo's and I am thinking of posting of my parents too from you guessed it, the mid 50's. Happy Anniversary. Cindy
What great pictures!
ReplyDeleteTerri,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, our parent's wedding and song similarities are uncanny. With March drawing near, I really start thinking more about my Dad again (I'm sure you can understand that). Thanks for sharing with me, were probably about the same age too! Cindy
Someone should have screamed, "Get A Room!"
