Frugal Luxuries #3
Did you try a special dish just for yourself last week?
There is a magic in growing something, isn't there? Having something alive to care for especially in the winter months, creates an experience and connection to the earth.
This week at Walmart there were a number of small $1 plants available. Find a few of these plants, and use your china teacups to plant these small wonders in. Line your kitchen window and you will have a little haven of peace and a reminder that spring is just around the corner!

Cute idea! I love it! I would probably kill every last one of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI love your idea for planting in the teacups. I can just see them lined up and bringing you a smile.
Teacups along the windowsill is a very pleasing image...spring is just around the corner for some folks...it's a long four months away for us so I'll have to find a way to delight in winter.
ReplyDeleteTHis is a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I may have to run to Wal Mart today. I don't have a window sill in my kitchen, but I bet I can find a place for some potted tea cups. laurie
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I did put plants in teacups on my deck railing two summers ago. It was so fun. I might do it again...but since they are outside and I can't control the rain water, I would drill little holes in the bottom for drainage.
ReplyDeleteKeep these ideas coming!
Many thanks for stopping by my place today.
ReplyDeleteThat's a marvelous idea to plant in little cups...I might do just that!

ReplyDeleteTracey has so many cute ideas! I did plant some hyacinths today but not in a teacup, although if I can get some of my others that I'm forcing to bloom, I just may do that!
