Summit Hill Winery
Bob and I took advantage of our lovely Missouri spring day to enjoy dinner al fresco at one of our favorite hang outs, the Summit Hill Winery. This winery showcases Missouri wines and has some great food. My favorite is that two bottles are named after local Catholic churches and $1 of a purchase of a bottle of "their" wine goes to that church!

YUMM-O! That sounds great. We discovered a little wine place down in Granbury, Texas (they make their own wine and sell it - no grapevines to look at, though. lol). Anyway, they have THE best wine...the cranberry shiraz and the grapefruit Rio red are both soooo good. It's best I don't head to Granbury too often. I'd be too tempted to become a wino. lololol

Hi Terri,
ReplyDeleteWe've stopped there a couple of times for a glass of wine on the terrace. We've never had a meal there..we should do that sometime! It's such a beautiful place. When we were there I felt like I was in Provence.

So glad to see you Terri...or actually I'm seeing Bob, hearing from you. We have a place near Charleston called Moncks Corner, named after the Monestery where the Moncks made mead and wine...they're still there to this day! If you ever get down this way, you should stop in and visit them...
ReplyDeleteso glad you're back in, I've missed you

Being in Washington state...I have heard that there are a LOT of wineries here...I think my DH and I should go on a field trip sometime and check them out!
