Wintery February Day
We have had two snow days in a row!
What a perfect time we have had getting the programs ready, the menu cards ready and finishing up some details for the photographer! And, that was just yesterday! Today we are reading, catching up on blogs and enjoying each other's company.
This photo is from our living room looking outside. I had hoped to catch a picture of the quarter sized snowflakes we were getting!
I hope each of you is curled up comfortably with a good book in your hand. I am rereading Heidi, especially the part where Heidi is in the hut with her grandfather, with snow almost covering it!

What a neat picture! Here in PA we have had some snow overnight and more predicted tonight.
ReplyDeleteI like to bake when it snows. Warm anything from the oven tastes better in a snowstorm.(: It was mincemeat pie this time.
Such a wonderful picture...we too are snowed in! Grace only had 2 days of school this week.
ReplyDeleteShe is having ice cream now and watching High School Musical 2.
What a life!
WE are going to bake brownies later and I have to begin my painting in the dining room...
Stay warm and dry and enjoy your days off!
Love,
Sue
It just started sleeting here and I just made myself a cuppa "Lady Grey" tea is so nummy...I think I need a cookie though...teehee!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe!
Snow always looks so pretty when it first fall, but I am quite ready for Spring!
ReplyDeleteHello dear Terri:-) Finally here to catch up on your latest news...haven't been at the computer much this week due to other things needing doing around the house. I just love the wedding invitations...this is such an exciting time for all of you!! Fresh snow sure does look pretty...we still have so much snow, some of the snowbanks are taller than I am. I'm SO ready for Spring to arrive but unfortunately I know that we still have a couple more months of winter like weather here. I haven't watched Heidi in years...I remember my favourite was the one starring Shirley Temple as Heidi. xox
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got a good bit taken care of. Heidi is one of my all time favorite books. I read it to Arianna when she was five. She loves her Shirley Temple Heidi doll (that used to be mine) and still requests a reading of Johanna's book as she calls it...enjoy your off days Terri...lucky you, with Bob in the kitchen!

The photo is beautiful. I just love winter photos..not that we get any,but thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe have thoroughly enjoyed our snow days here, too. I've only seen the sleet, though, no snow:(
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
ReplyDeleteTwo glorious days off...
Sounds like you are enjoying it.
...and now the weekend...

Terri, that photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for a thaw..I miss our little jaunts. We haven't been to the lake since the first part of last month and we really need to get there to check things over. Someone goes in and does heat and plumbing checks, but we feel better if we can get there in person! I think we're going to try late next week.
I know you are so excited with the planning and process of the wedding! Your enjoyment can be seen in your words!
Pat

ReplyDeleteOh, Heidi... I love, love, love that book. It will be fun to think of you sitting there all cozy and reading it... Have a piece of toasted cheese and bread for me! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI do want some of that snow!!
ReplyDeleteNow Terri, you've made me want to go watch the movie Heidi. I haven't watched it in years. Now I just need a good snowstorm!!!
ReplyDeleteA couple of hearty dollops of Nutella sealed up in the biscuit, bake, and yum yum. :)

Terri it looks just so beautiful where you are. Being able to look out the window at such a sight just makes me sigh out loud........lol I'm glad you are able to have a nice quiet relaxing day today, as yesterday sounds like it has quite hectic! The invitations look gorgeous sweetie! BTW, I love the Father of the Bride movies, 1&2. So funny! Enjoy the rest of your week!

I love your snow! Wish we had some here...

Great view of the snowy outside - just where I like to enjoy snow the most on the couch with a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate and bundled up with an old afghan and good book! All with no desire to be outside in it at all - hehehe.
ReplyDeleteReady for Spring myself!
Have a fabulous week.
Blessings,
Sandy
We are do for some more cold weather the next few days, after being 70 degrees...I am quite ready for Spring.

Don't shoot me but it has been sunny for about three weeks in a row here! And I am not in California or Florida. Just cloudy rainy Oregon!

Hi Terri, I know how busy you must be with the wedding! Hope all is going well. I am looking forward to all the details!
ReplyDeleteI've tagged you with a little meme. The challenge is to write a 6 word memoir. If you don't have time for it now, maybe later. This was a fun tag, I enjoyed.
