Ashley's wedding dress
Ashley will not post her wedding gown on her wedding blog because she doesn't want Eric to see it but I don't think Eric knows I have a blog so I feel safe posting this here!
Ashley is our only daughter. She is 21, turning 22 in October. She is getting married in March of 2008. Check out her blog to learn more!
Ashley's dress is being designed by a Stephens College graduate. We found two dresses at the Bridal shop where Ashley works and bought them for $60 each. The designer painstakingly took apart both dresses and created a brand new dress for Ashley from the fabrics of the two gowns.
Here is the train of the dress and the lace as it is being attached to the gown. Even if Eric discovers this blog, he still won't have a good idea of what the dress will look like!

Congratulations to Eric and Ashley. Very interesting how she had two dresses combined into one. A clever idea. I followed your link from my friend Carolyn's blog. You have a lovely blog. xoxo
ReplyDeleteA lovely dress!! I know you are all excited. I enjoy your blog and your comments on mine! I'm a teacher, so I'm headed back to the classrooms, too!
ReplyDeleteOh, that train is beautiful! What a creative and wonderful idea for the dress. How fun for you to be posting this here. Congrats to Ashley and Eric. Great to have you swing by again, and ohhhhhhhhh boy, 100 degrees! Well, glad you got to cyber cool off with the trail pics. Just know that we were only ten degrees behind you all today. I figure anything over 95 is oven territory, any way you look at it, so hang in there! Have a great evening! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat train is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone who commented on the dress! I'm very happy with how it is turning out! I'll be sure to have my mom post pictures of our wedding day in March so you can see how it all came together. In the meantime, you can check out my blog at www.ashleyanderic.blogspot.com for more details. My mom and I share the responsibility of keeping it updated.
